Pregnancy Vaccines

   Vaccinations made during pregnancy are extremely important in terms of protecting mother and baby from diseases. Vaccines made to the mother during pregnancy protect both the mother and the fetus, while passing through the blood to the baby and protecting the baby from infections for about 6 months after birth. It has been found that there is no harm in administering a dead vaccine during pregnancy. The purpose of vaccination in pregnancy; It is to protect the baby from infections that may harm the baby during pregnancy. Again, it is done to protect the mother from severe diseases during pregnancy.
   Live virus vaccines such as mumps, measles, chickenpox, rubella are not administered during pregnancy. It is very harmful for the baby. It is appropriate to give such vaccines at least 3 - 6 months before pregnancy. Diphtheria and tetanus vaccine is a toxoid vaccine prepared by purifying inactive tetanus and diphtheria toxins. It is recommended for pregnant women.

Tetanus Vaccine in Pregnancy

   For the future of tetanus, vaccination after the 3rd zone is preferred in any case. If the previous vaccinations are full or more than 10 years have passed since the last vaccination, they are given twice in total with 1 month intervals during pregnancy (mainly in the 5th and 6th months). Another dose is given to the mother 6 months after the second vaccination. In some applications, it is completed once again 1 year after the vaccine. IM is administered.

Hepatitis B Vaccine in Pregnancy

   It is a vaccine that contains antigens from the virus, which is not a hepatitis B vaccine. There is nothing in the details that you are in on this right trajectory. Pregnant women whose spouse has hepatitis B should not be vaccinated before. Hepatitis B The risk of transmitting hepatitis B to the babies of expectant mothers who gave birth to hepatitis B is very high while breastfeeding. Therefore, the babies of mothers who gave birth to hepatitis B are allowed to become pregnant after hepatitis B serum immunoglobulin is administered within 2 hours. IM is administered.


Influenza Vaccine During Pregnancy

   Influenza vaccine is a vaccine prepared against viruses that occur every year. No adverse events have been reported in its use during pregnancy. It can also be used during breastfeeding. IM is administered from the deltoid region.

Rabies Vaccine in Pregnancy

   In case of contact with suspicious animals during pregnancy, rabies vaccine and immunoglobulin can be administered. IM is administered from the deltoid region.


Childhood Vaccines

Hepatitis B Vaccine

   It is applied at birth, at the end of the 1st and 6th months (0-1-6). There should be at least 4 weeks between the 1st and 2nd dose and at least 8 weeks between the 2nd and 3rd dose. It is administered as IM.


BCG (Tuberculosis) Vaccine

   At the end of the 2nd month, a single dose is administered. It is a live vaccine. Therefore, it is not applied to people with weakened or suppressed immunity. Live vaccines can be administered the same day. However, since the measles and varicella vaccines inhibit the response to BCG, BCG is administered 4 weeks after these vaccines. BCG is administered intradermally to the left shoulder. BCG vaccine does not protect from the disease, but from miliary tuberculosis and meningitis that will develop due to the disease.

Hepatitis A Vaccine

   At least 6 months should be left between the 1st dose and the 2nd dose. It can be administered at the same time as other childhood vaccines or for any period of time. It is applied at the earliest in the 12th month. It is applied in the 18th and 24th months. It is applied to the upper arm as an IM.

MRM ( Measles-rubella-mumps) Vaccine

Measles

   Vaccination is given in the form of MMR in the 12th and 48th months. MMR is a live vaccine. SSPE occurs due to measles virus infection. But the vaccine does not cause SSPE. As a contraindication, the pregnant woman who is in contact with a person with measles is not vaccinated. Immunoglobulin should be administered to these pregnant women. People with anaphylactic-type allergic reactions to gelatin or neomycin and people with severe mental deficiency should not be vaccinated either. Babies younger than 6 months old should not be vaccinated against measles. It is applied as SC.

Rubella 

Vaccination is given in the form of MMR in the 12th and 48th months. It is a live vaccine. You should become pregnant 4 weeks after vaccination. It is not applied to pregnant women. There is no harm in getting vaccinated while breastfeeding. It is an important disease in pregnancy, it can also be transmitted to the fetus. It is applied as SC.

Mumps

Vaccination is given in the form of MMR in the 12th and 48th months. If it occurs in the first 3 months of pregnancy, it causes abortion. It is applied as SC.


Chickenpox Vaccine

   Chickenpox is administered as a single dose in the 12th month. It is a live vaccine. It should not be done with BCG. It is applied as SC. Because of Reye's syndrome, aspirin preparations should not be used for 6 weeks before vaccination.

Oral Polio Vaccine

   Orally 6-18. It is applied as 2 doses per month. OPA should not be administered to those who are immunocompromised or undergoing cancer treatment.

Pneumococcal Vaccine 

   2-4-6-12. It is a dead bacteria vaccine applied in months. Depending on the age, IM is applied from the leg or arm.

Five Combination Vaccine (DaBT-IPA-Hib)

Diphtheria Vaccine

   It is an inactivated vaccine. Diphtheria vaccine in the form of 5-combined vaccine 2,4,6. It is applied in the 18th month and the 18th month. At the age of 13, a separate booster dose continues as adult type diphtheria-tetanus (Td) vaccine. Vaccination should be delayed in patients with moderate or severe acute illness. However, the vaccine can be given in mild disease. Those with suppressed immune systems and pregnant women can be vaccinated against diphtheria.

Pertussis Vaccine

   Pertussis vaccine in the form of 5-combined vaccine 2,4,6. It is applied in the 18th month and the 18th month. It is not recommended to be used in individuals with an unknown cause and progressive central nervous system disease or disorder.

Tetanus Vaccine

   Tetanus vaccine is an inactivated vaccine. 2,4,6 in the form of a five-way vaccine. It is applied in the 18th month and the 18th month. At the age of 13, a booster dose is administered. Pregnant women who have never been vaccinated should receive at least two doses of tetanus. There should be four weeks between two doses. If the vaccines were given 3 doses, 1 booster dose should be given. 3. If 10 years have passed since the dose, 2 doses should be given during pregnancy.

Inactivated Polio Vaccine

   2-4-6-18 as IM. It is applied in the five-month combination vaccine.

Haemophilus Influenzae Type b Disease (Hib)
